Week 12: Strange

March 19, 2012

Our last expedition while in Arizona was to the Phoenix Science Museum. This odd contraption is easy to explain – kids look through a lens, which is actually a camera but which appears from the outside to be a telescope. In this case the kid put his mouth in front of the lens (yeecch!) and the image is projected onto a screen built into this micro-scope standing looking thing which is suspended from the ceiling about 100 yards from the lens. Very, very strange!

PS – I was playing in Topaz Adjust 5 and tinkered so much, I can’t say exactly which filter this is – one of the Low Keys, I think.

Nothing more interesting than watching kids marvelling at science! (And adults scratching their heads over the same thing) LoL

    It is rather surreal.

Love the abstract quality of this image.
